Connector Profiles on the Connector Page
Handing an AI agent access to Microsoft Teams, Salesforce or Linear comes down to one decision: what it’s allowed to do once it’s in. A connector profile is where you make that decision. It sets which actions an agent can call, which events it receives and which credentials it connects with, so a support agent can read channel messages and never delete a team. Every tool call an agent makes runs through a profile, which makes profiles the core of how you govern what your teams’ agents can do.
Profiles have grown into that role, and they now have a home to match. Instead of a separate page and a side panel, each profile is a card on the page of the connector it governs. Open Connectors, pick a connector, and select a card to review and change everything that profile allows in one place.
What’s new
- Build a profile from actions - Click Add Profile, pick the actions and events an agent needs into a draft, then set up authentication in the Create Profile panel, which shows the callback URL and links to the connector’s auth guide.
- Tabs per profile - Actions, Events, Accounts and Logs sit side by side, so you can check what a profile allows, which accounts connect through it and what they’ve done, without leaving the page.
- Filter by effect - Narrow a profile’s actions to Read, Write or Delete, so you can find and switch off every destructive action without scrolling the full list.
- Data Sync per action - Turn on Data Sync for individual actions from the Actions tab, including while you create the profile.
- Native webhook events - Choose which connector events a profile receives from its Events tab.
- Edits stage until you save - Changes collect in a Save Profile bar and apply together, and StackOne warns you before you leave with unsaved work.
- Members create, admins approve - Project members can create their own profiles, which start disabled until an admin enables them. Admins see and manage every profile in the project.
- Version control - Move a saved profile to another connector version when you’re ready, with the latest release tagged.
The Managing Connectors guide covers the new layout, and Scoping Connectors walks through choosing a profile’s actions and events.
